Christian: A Follower of Christ; a Person Who Follows the Teaching of Christ, Christ Like

Zondervan Pictorial Bible Dictionary Definition: The Biblical meaning is Adherent of Christ. Adherent Means: someone who supports a particular party , person, or set of ideas. For a True Christian follows the Teaching of Christ and is Christ Like.
I. Christian are to Reproached, Because They Are Living for Christ. And Not Because They Are Hypocrites, Living in Sins:
A. As a Murderer
B. As a Thief
C. As an Evildoer
D. As a Busybody in Other Men’s Matters
1 Pe 4:14-16 “14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
E. If You Suffer for Being Christ Like, Not Sinning You Do Not Need to Be Ashamed
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed;
F. But Let Him Glorify God on This Behalf
but let him glorify God on this behalf.”
II. The Disciple Were First Called Christians in Antioch
A. The Church Was Assembled for a Whole Year
Acts 11:26 “26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
B. King Agrippa Said to Paul That He Had Almost Persuaded Him to Be a Christian
C. Do You Live Your Life in Such Away to Persuade Other to Become a Christian
Acts 26:28 “28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”
III. We as a True Christian Church, Are to Be a Peculiar People
Peculiar: being beyond usual that is special (one’s own) peculiar
A. In the Old Testament in Psalm, God Chose Jacob and Israel for Himself to Be His Peculiar Treasure
Ps 135:4 “4 For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, And Israel for his peculiar treasure.”
B. In New Testament, Christ Redeem Us from All Iniquity and Purified Us to Be Peculiar People
C. And to Be Zealous of Good Works
Ti 2:14 “14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
D. As a Peculiar People We Are:
1. A Chosen Generation
2. A Royal Priesthood
3. An Holy Nation
4. To Show Forth the Praises of Him, God, Because We Are Called Out of Darkness into His Marvelous Light
1 Pe 2:9 “9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
IV. Christ is Coming Back for Himself a Glorious Church:
A. Without Spot
B. Wrinkle
C. That is Holy
D. And Without Blemish
Eph 5:25-27 “25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
