The way to confirm your call and election is to stand firm in your faith and to advance in virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. These are the things that certify the genuineness of your faith and confirm the reality of your conversion. If you have them and are growing in them, you will never fall or be fruitless
Dont forget what Jesus has done for you.. done be complacent.

Bright as a morning star
2 Peter 1:19 (ESV)
19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Colossians 1:13  (ESV)
13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
1 John 3:2-3  (MSG)
2-3 But friends, that’s exactly who we are: children of God. And that’s only the beginning. Who knows how we’ll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus’ life as a model for our own.
Stand
You stood before creation, eternity in Your hand
You spoke the earth into motion, my soul now to stand
You stood before my failure and carried the cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders, my soul now to stand
