We are going to be looking at what Christ Death or the Crucifixion Means for You and Me.

Our goal here this morning : Is to give Us a Deeper Appreciation for what Christ Suffering/Crucifixion has done for Us on Calvary. Our Sin Nature and Mans Depravity

Last week we looked at Christ’s Submission, anguish, and Prayers just before his capture/then His Crucifixion.

Why was Christ Crucified? He is arrested in Gethsemane, convicted of having uttered a threat against the temple, and condemned to death by Pilate. The answer seems to be his threat against the temple. Was this the real reason? God provides a path for forgiveness from sin, for freedom from death and for reconciliation.

Crucified for Sinners: What’s and Who is a Sinner?

+ a person who transgresses against divine law by committing an immoral act or acts.

+someone who has done something wrong according to religious or moral law

+The Christian definition of sin is purposely disobeying the rules of God. “Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness 1 John 3:4”.

Where did Sin Originate?

+The first sin, I believe was the self-generated pride that corrupted Lucifer

Let’s work the Text…! Scrip. Vs. 38 Says “Then Were Two Thieves Crucified with Him”, Christ who knew No Sin, Crucified With Sinner. He did it, for you/me.

Vs 39 And those who walk pass insulted Him. And they Shook their heads. And He took the insults for you/me.

Vs 40 And Said To Him “You were goin to Tear Down God’s Temple and build it again in three days”. “Save Yourself”! Who would be so LOW to insult and TAUNT a dying man?

A Definition

Total Depravity is the Biblical teaching that human beings since Our Fall From Grace have inherited both the guilt and sin nature of Adam in such a way that absolutely everything about them is affected by sin. While often misunderstood, the doctrine of total depravity is an acknowledgement that the Bible teaches that as a result of the fall of man (Genesis 3:6) every part of man—his mind, will, emotions and flesh—have been corrupted by sin.

In other words, sin affects all areas of our being including who we are and what we do. Question: Is everything about us Sinful? NO…? or Yes? However, Romans 3:23-24 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. Galatians 5:16-18. Spiritual Warfare-The Flesh vs. The Spirit. The war between the flesh and the spirit (Romans 7:14-25)

This does not mean every person is as sinful as they could possibly be. Saints…! Those Who are in Christ Jesus..

Jesus Died For You/Me…! That Means Life For You/Me…! He Made a Way For Us to be able to Go Directly to The Father. It Was His Plan…! He suffered Excruciating Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional Pain. He Died In Order to Pay the Penalty For Our Sins. For You/Me.

Only one thief later repented and changed his ways, acknowledging Jesus' was a spiritual king, and asking Jesus to remember him when He (Jesus) came into His Kingdom.
