Kindness Part 3

Why is God Our Example of Kindness?

isn’t he wrathful?
doesn’t he allow suffering?
what is kind about a God that creates death?

Romans 2

God judges and will act out justice in the end for all
for the patient well-doing, eternal life
for the self-seeking wrath
what is loving about this? does God love the people he justly condemns?
wouldn’t a loving God choose to save everyone anyway?
can he be loving and just?

Perception and Contrast

more than just that for the idea of God to be feasible there must be some opposition
more than for there to be good there must be bad
there is no perception without contrast and for that there is no counter argument
if God creates a reality in which we are always in comfort, even if we raise the scale from where it is such that suffering by comparison would be meaningless in our reality, in that reality it must still be suffering because that would be all that one could perceive and we must perceive to exist
also the broader the spectrum of perception the more meaning it can have
if you can only perceive two things one mildly good and one mildly bad but still enough that there is discernment between the two, how vivid or impactful or extravagant is such an existence?
but if the lowest low is excruciating and the highest high is peace surpassing understanding, then meaning flows from every interaction
then even suffering can be purposeful when viewed as more than a spot on the existential spectrum but a part of a vast movement on a broad and multidimensional plane
and so God, not seeking a creation that is limited but unlimited in potential, creates allowing for such a wide range of contrast, even if that allows pain and opposition

Root of Suffering

selfishness- i choose something for my betterment regardless of the consequences of others
the mindset that ended the garden
the predication for the list in R 2
even in the garden of eden that contrast must exist
situated right next to each other so as to illustrate this idea fully are the trees of life and of knowledge of good and evil
i take the fruit because I’ve been misled by the opposition to justice that i have something to gain for myself by eating it
and there was knowledge gained but also so much innocence lost
knowledge of good and evil also a bit misleading because they knew there would be consequences to taking it that were objectively bad
they knew of the good and of the evil
but even if they knew they believed there was something to gain and to be lost they give in to the temptation of knowing
its significant that they knowingly choose what would cause pain for the one who created them and walked with them and worked with them

God Suffers Too

God was not excited to send them out of the garden
all along the way until the savior comes he continues walking along side his creation and working with them
suffering as over and over they reject him
he walks among them in the flesh and spends years doing nothing but healing and helping and teaching people to do good and be content
and still they beat him and torture him and hang him on a cross
he goes through all of that for centuries and willingly so that he might live on in you
so that he can continue walking with us and working with us and enjoying peace and contentment with his creation as we work together for good and hope and life
I just have to choose that over myself and my own gain
