Mountain view
What is the foundation in which your life is built on?
Today Jesus wants you to choose.
The worlds way or his..
Matthew 7:24-29 (ESV)
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

Storms show were our wisdom comes from.
James 1:2-4  (ESV)
2 Count it all joy, my brothers,[a] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Storms show us that we can depend on God

Comparisons
Both houses are the same
Built in the same place
Experienced the same storms
Argue that both had the same directions
Only one trusted Jesus for the foundation
Only one survived the storm of sin…
Matthew 16:24-26b
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Authority.
Matthew 7:28-29 (ESV)
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
Other prophets say..the Lord says…
Jesus said, I tell you the truth John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me.
