The Truth of Easter

The Easter Event is the most clear picture of God’s work throughout history to bring salvation to his people

The cross is God’s work not the work of man

He planned it and executed it according to his sovereign power (सार्वभौमत्वा)

God works to bring about Easter

God has sent warning through plagues

Those who reject the warning will enter into destruction

Darkness covered the earth before the Easter Lamb is brought to death

Exodus 10:21-22 Thick darkness that could be felt

Mark 15:32-34 Why have you forsaken me?

God hardened Pharaohs heart so as to bring about the death of the lamb

Exodus 10:27-28 He would not let them go

Acts 2:19-24 determinate council of God

Revelation 13:8 Lamb slain from the foundation of the world

Why did God work to bring about this event? God does not meticulously control all things so why did he work out this specific event?

God pours out his wrath on the perfect lamb

God pours out his judgment on all men and women

For all have sinned (Romans 3:23)

From the throne to the servant to the prisoner (Exodus 12:29-30)

Each family was to take a lamb without blemish (Exodus 12:5)

The blood of the sacrificed lamb causes God to pass over, or overlook your house (Exodus 12:13)

What did God accomplish by pouring out his wrath on the perfect Lamb of God? What do we need to do in order to receive the mercy of God rather than the wrath of God?

God brings out a people from slavery for himself

God made a distinction between his people and the wicked (Between those of FAITH and those who reject the revelation given by God)

They must remain in the house

God’s salvation is always found in a place of refuge- Will you enter in?

Noah’s Ark, Rahab’s house, the house with the blood of the lamb (Exodus 12:22)

Christ is the place of refuge for all who would be saved! (Ephesians 2:13, Galatian 3:26)

God’s people went from slaves to rich men because of the Easter Event
