Cursed is He who is Hung on a Tree
Cursed is He who is Hung on a Tree
22 “And if a man has committed a crime punishable by death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 23 his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall bury him the same day, for a hanged man is cursed by God. You shall not defile your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.

13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
Since we have violated the law, we deserve to receive the law’s curse and God’s condemnation. But Christ bore the law’s curse in our place, giving us peace with God
21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
