Greeting: First giving Honor to God, Pastor Drake, Rev. Little, and to all Pastors and Co-Laborers in the house today. I greet you with Jesus' Joy as I expound on the assignment given to me from John 19:28
John 19:28 LEB
After this, Jesus, knowing that now at last everything was completed, in order that the scripture would be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”

Prayer: Father I thank you for your Life, Burial and Ressurection…in Jesus Name…Amen.

Jesus in moments of Humanity:

He is now fullfing the prophecy related to his suffering, found in
Isaiah 53:3–5 LEB
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering, and acquainted with sickness, and like one from whom others hide their faces, he was despised, and we did not hold him in high regard. However, he was the one who lifted up our sicknesses, and he carried our pain, yet we ourselves assumed him stricken, struck down by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon him, and by his wounds we were healed.
I think we overlook the last 3 word of this scripture that states We Were Healed. This means were are looking for something we already have…God I thank you for your lash you took for my healing. God I thank you for loving me enough to feel my Mental, Physical and Emontion pain and greif I go through.
We also see him Hungry and Tempted in
Matthew 4:1–4 LEB
Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil, and after he had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry. And the tempter approached and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, order that these stones become bread.” But he answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ”
Yet there is one more time that we see the humanity of Jesus found in:
Mark 4:35–39 LEB
And on that day, when it was evening, he said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” And leaving the crowd, they took him along, as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him. And a great storm of wind developed, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already being filled with water. And he was in the stern sleeping on the cushion, and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, is it not a concern to you that we are perishing?” And he woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Be quiet! Be silent!” And the wind abated and there was a great calm.
And Now we see him for the last time only for a few moments in his humanity in our assignment for tonight :
John 19:28 LEB
After this, Jesus, knowing that now at last everything was completed, in order that the scripture would be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”

Definition: Thirst

To Desire
To Lack
To Yearn for
Here in this text we see that Jesus realized everything has been completed and now he perpares his body for the final exit. But he still had some things to do before turning in this “Flesh Suit” that was specially designed for this assignment.
His body suffered many thing it wasn’t designed to endure.
Being beaten, Whipped, Mocked, Nailed in the hand and feet, Crown of Thorns pressed into his head, Periced in the sides.
I can imagine his body saying to Jesus “I’m confused”.
You created me to Protect and Preserve. I’m the one that usually tells the spirit when time is up.
I usually have about 40 yrs before introducing you to “Aurthor”.
I’m the one that give your the signs that there’s a Leak in this building and you Soul has to move.
I’m Confuse!
Im not use to the Spirit telling me that its leaving, were usually in communication with each other knowing what each other it s up too. I’m not use to nor design to endure this pursecution, physical and mental abuse all in this short period of time.
I usually have time to rest rebuild and recover between injuries,
I’m just trying to do my job.
And even tho your telling me it’s then end, I’m still trying to protect and Perserve. Im running out of energy, stamina, mental strength....I Need A Drink!!
This is what the assignment was all about, showing us how to Hunger and thirst after righteousness and having a desire, and a yearning for that living water.
John 19:29 “A jar full of sour wine was standing there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a branch of hyssop and brought it to his mouth.”
The Spongefull of vinegar, sour wine, Posca, the common drink of the Roman Soldiers, which was put on a hyssop stalk and offered to Jesus in contemptuous pity. (Matt. 27-48: Luke 23:26) He tasted the allay the agony of his thirst.

Preclosing:

Ill:There was a group in 1995 named Xscape. They wrote a song Titled “ Who Will I Run To”.
This song expressed the Thirst of a person that Desired, Lacked and Yearned for Love. They were looking for someone or something to quench that thirst.
Closing:
This reminds me of myself when
I was sinking deep in Sin,
Far from the peaceful shore.
Very deeply stained withing
Sinking to rise no more
But the Master of the Sea
Heard my disparing cry
From the waters lifted me
Now safe am I
Because Love
Lifted Me
When nothing else could hope
Love Lifted me.
Who can i run to?
When i need a drink?
John 7:38 LEB
the one who believes in me. Just as the scripture said, ‘Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.’ ”
Who can I run to?
I can run to the one
Jeremiah 31:25 “For I will saturate the thirst of the weary, and every person who languishes I will replenish.””
Who can I run to?
I can run to the one who said:
Matthew 5:6 (LEB)
Blessed are the ones who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
because they will be satisfied.
I Can run to the Rock of my salvation
The stone where the builders rejected
I was searching for something to fill the void in my heart…
I was Thirsty (Desiring, Lack, and Yearning for it to be filled.)
I was looking for a drink in all the wrong places
I was looking for a drink
But I found a friend
That sticks closer than any brother
I thirst to be Holy and acceptable unto God
Im not thirsting for houses
I’m not thirsting for
Land
I’m thirsting for
a close walk with thee
I’m thirsting to complete
the assignment I was put on the earth to do.
I’m thirsting to
Do the will of my Father
I’m thirsting for Soul s to be saved
I’m thirsting to bring deleverance to the captive.
I’m desiring to be used by God to be a witness
That someone would ask
what must I do to know Jesus.
I’m thristing
to live my life
so God can use me
anytime and anywhere.
Who can I run to:
I can run to Jesus,
that suffered, bled and died for me.
There is a fountian
filled with blood
drawn from
Emmanuel’s Vain
An Sinners plung
Beneath that flood
Loose all their guilty Stains.
May God Be Praised.
