Theme: We all want a savior in this world. Mark wants to show that not only the Jews gave up Jesus, but also the romans. In this passage, what Pilate is asking the crowd that was there, and what he’s crying out to us is, what son of what father do you want today? What Jesus do you want? Do you want the revolutionary one who will fight for you and lead your sons into probably more murder and death, or the one who will die for you?
