Philippians 2:7 “but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.”
V. 7 He took on the form of a bondservant. He washed the disciples feet.
Going on a mission trip we get to see how people live. Lots of times we miss the comforts of our own enviroment. Like AC, our vehicle, our bed.
Just think of the discomfort of what Jesus had to go through to give living in complete Glory to come and dwell with us sinners. He came to a dirty dusty place called Bethylehem.
Jesus took on the form of a man. He was fully God and fully man.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem he was born fully man. When Jesus cut himself He bled, when He slept at night He probably snored.
His birth was amazing miracle
Philippians 2:8 “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
v.8 Not just a death but a death on the cross.
Everytime you see a cross
Love & Grace
When you see that Horizontal Beam it is His arms stretched out ready wrap around you with His Love .
When you see that vertical stake in the ground that represents Gods Grace. That is God leaving Heaven to come down and take on the sins of the world
It is summed up in one word FORGIVENESS.
So He could go to the cross and say Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.
I believe He couldn’t wait to say it.
So that He could grant us Forgiveness.
That is humility
Then 3 days later he rose out of the grave.
