When did you first encounter Christ? How did He change your path or direction?

Read John 3:16. What Greek word is translated one and only? What is the significance of this word? What does it tell us about Jesus’ relationship to God?

Review Luke 7:1-10. How did the centurion show faith in Jesus? How did Jesus react to the centurion’s faith? What does it mean to have faith in Jesus’ authority in this way?

Ask someone to read Matthew 11:27. How is Jesus our revealer? What does He reveal? What specific revelation do you need from Jesus today?

What is your closest relationship - a person you could represent or speak on behalf of because you know him or her so well? How does this type of relationship you have with that person help you understand the relationship between Jesus and the Father?

Ask someone in the group to read aloud Matthew 11:28. Why does Jesus say that He is able to teach us? What will happen if we allow Him to teach us?

What has Christ taught you? How did He teach this to you?

Jesus is the one and only authority and revealer. Which of these characteristics of Christ is the most difficult for you to understand? Why?
