He's Alive

Events leading to Jesus crucifixion.

Luke 24:1–3 “But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.”

Luke 24:4-6 “While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but HAS RISEN. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,”

Luke 24:7-9 “that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” And they remembered his words, and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.”

Luke 24:10-12 “Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. But Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.”

He’s ALIVE

He has risen.

Two men in dazzling apparel said He’s not here. He’s risen.

He raised the dead Lazarus,

the Centurions servant and

the widow of Nain’s son

Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Restored To Right Relationship With God

Stone was rolled away - no longer separated from God.

The veil was torn in the temple.

We were permanently separated from God because of sin but He

Died.... I could live

was punished… i could be forgiven

wounded… I could be healed

Made sin… I could be His righteousness

Made a curse…I could receive His blessing

Made poverty… share His abundance

Given an inheritance

God Is Bigger Than The Past Or Problems

Mary Magdalene - freed from seven demons

Joanna, wife of Herod Antipas’ servant, Chuza

Pete denied Jesus in his gayest hour of need

Peter went home marveling at what had happened.

the man hed denied was the Son of God .

Jesus would reinstate Peter!

God is bigger than your past or problems

He died, rose, and is coming back

Isaiah 61:1-2 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;”
