Presence means alot

I’m going to take ome time right now and relect on Lee’s life and the memories the family shred with em this week as we sat down together.

One of the first things that was said about Lee’s life as a child was that it was a rough life. Caused mainly by the scar he had from an accident when he was 2.5 years old.

He grew up in Fort Kent Maine and loved Skiing. His mom worked at a ski lodge and he would spend a lot of time there.

He and his siblings would ski until they had to go home which if I understood correctly wasn’t far and they could basically ski home.

He loved the outdoors but wasn’t a big fan of fishin. However, he would go fishing with Teri because she loved it.

That type of spirit seem to represenative of the man Lee was. He was always there for others.

After high school he did what I’m told most from Ft. Kent Maine do and he moved to Ct for work.

He worked with sheet metal, roofing and siding for his career and based on their testimony was really good at it.

in his late 20’s he got a job working in Michigan for a bit building a mazda plant. While there he and his buddies went ot a diner and that’s where he met Teri.

She said she got the best tips from that table. Shortly after they were married. Their honeymoon was a little different but special none the less. They went to New York and becuase times were tough financially they didn’t really go see much or do much, in fct, he was working and his company hired her so they coudl go there together for a week or so.

They spent the evenings walking the streets of New York togethr. This must have been a special memory to Lee becuase in his last days he would try to get out of the bedd and tell Teri, he hadd to take her to New York.

They came back to Ct and lived their lives here.

I’m thankful for him and Mrs. Teri being willing to use their talents and abilities to build the garbage shed out there on our property,

He was known in his trade as a teacher. One coworker had called him his college professor becuase of how much he had invested in him and taught him the trade.

He was very resourcceful and creative.

Amanda shared about a pink dolhouse with a blue roof that he built her and is still standing ot this day.

He was great at his craft and enjoyed passing that knowledge on to others.

He was not one to sit till. He would always been working aroundd the house or helpiing peoplle. The famiyl describe him as someone always willing to help.

He wasn’t just helpful…he was funny. He loved making people laugh and apparently had a laugh that everyone knew.

I’m to understand that while everyone knew the laugh no one could replicate it.

Whatever Lee did it sounds like he was someone who wanted ot have fun doing it.

They took a trip to Maine one time in his truck and Lee sat in the bed in a lawn chair the entire way. And then at one point built benches for the kids to sit back there.

This helpful and fun spirit was seen through his relationship with Amanda.

One of her fondest memories was of Lee taking her and the neighborhood kids to ice skate. he was apparently good on his feet.

Not just on the ice either, Lee could dance and loved to. Teri said when they would dance there wouldn’t be a part of the dance floor they didn’t touch.

Amanda shared that one of her best memories with her father was dancing at her wedding.

He spun her around the dance floor having a great time.

At this time we re going to play a song that reflects the love of dance Lee had and life he lived.

I’d ask you that as the song plays to reflect on Leee’s life and his impact to you. Celebrate the good times you had and take this opporutnity to mourn, grieve, or even laugh as you think of Lee.
