2023 0409 Easter Encouragement

The New International Version Chapter 10

But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Jesus offered a once only sacrifice

no more continual going to the temple

accept this sacrifice and you are made clean

God’s Time

takes time for the plan of god to be fulfilled in its entirety

God created mankind yet sin entered the world

took Jesus to die and take on the sin of the world

took Jesus to be raised from the grave to demonstrate his total victory over death

he now sits at the right hand of God

the seat of authority and power

the enemies of Jesus are powerless yet they have not yet come under his authority

Believers

those who are being made perfect

those who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth

JESUS IS LORD

must have both components - heart and mouth

made perfect forever - this is what we have in Christ

this is what Easter is all about
