The benefits of the Resurrection
The benefits of the Resurrection
The resurrection of Christ is the cause of our resurrection, both of the soul in the present and of the body in the future[1].
Then in this life we can star to experience the benefices of the resurrection.
So, if our soul has resurrected with Christ, by the grace of the sacraments, we cannot fear any longer, as the Gospel says today.
Do not be afraid, lest meditate in these benefits of the resurrection of our souls.
Do not be afraid. Open, I say open wide the doors for Christ, John Paul II.
Why should we have no fear? Because man has been redeemed by God(….) (…) In the Redemption we find the most profound basis for the words “Be not afraid!”: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son” (cf. Jn 3:16).
What is the fear.
What is the fear.
Affection (movement) provoked by imagining a bad future difficult to avoid that we do not seem to resist.
Worldly fear, to lose something temporally.
Worldly fear, to lose something temporally.
“Sometimes it happens that the evil from which someone reacts is contrary to a bodily or temporal good which a person sometimes loves inordinately and reacts from having it injured or destroyed by a mere man. This is human or worldly fear and is not from the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the Lord forbids such fear: do not fear those who kill the body (Matt 10:28).”
Fear of punishment,
Fear of punishment,
Specifically, the evil of being punished, and try to avoid from having this evil inflicted by a spiritual cause, namely, by God. When this fear prevents to fail in the sin is praiseworthy, but if only for the punishment, this is no praise worthy, is coming for man’s guilt.
Initial fear:
Initial fear:
“There is a third type of fear which recoils from evil opposed to a spiritual good, namely, from sin or separation from God, which a person fears to incur from the just vengeance of God. Thus, it bears on spiritual goods, but with an eye on punishment. This is called initial fear because it is usually found in men at the beginning of the their conversion. . . . This is the fear mentioned in the Psalm: the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Ps 111:10).
Chaste Fear: “The fourth type of fear has its eye entirely on spiritual things, because it fears nothing except separation from God. This is holy fear: the fear of the Lord is holy, enduring forever and ever (Ps 19:10). But just as initial fear is caused by imperfect love, so this fear is caused by perfect love: perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.[2]
One main rezone to do no be afraid, the resurrection.
One main rezone to do no be afraid, the resurrection.
So, with the resurrection, Jesus says again, do no fear, because all causes of your fear have been destroyed.
Are you afraid, to lose your body, you will lose it, but if you die in grace you will recover it.
Are you afraid to your pain, to lose your body.
"I do not know how you appeared in my womb; It was not I who gave them life and breath, nor who organized their body. 23 It is the creator of the world, who made all things, who forms man from the first moment. He, in his mercy, will restore your life and breath, for you, by the laws of God, do not think of yourselves."
What they lose for God, they recover a hundred times better...

Please do not fear this disease, or in any way any other disease or sorrowful pain. Am I not here, I who have the honor of being your mother? Are you not under my shadow, under my protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in my lap, in the crossing of my arms? Do you still need anything else?
