Three Questions for Mary John 20

People started running around after discovering that the tomb was empty...running to find answers to their questions. (People are still running around trying to find answers to the meaning of life.)

Mary Magdalene:

-Miriam of Migdal

-Healed of 7 demons

-Disciple of Jesus

-Always first in the list of female followers of Jesus; Last one at the cross, first one at the tomb.

Mary needed to answer three questions on Resurrection Sunday that we need to answer as well:

1. Why are you crying? (John 20:1-2, 12-15a). If you are crying today, remember that Jesus cares for you!

2. Who are you looking for? (John 20:15b-16a). We're all looking for something. Admit that Jesus is what you need the most.

3. How will you respond to the Risen Lord? (John 20:16-18a). The fact that Jesus rose from the dead requires a response.

Mary experienced sorrow, seeking, and surrender.

The tomb was empty, but your life doesn't have to be!
