Gods plan, His purpose, His way. Who are we to argue against the Creator? Salvation comes through believing in Christ, trusting in Him, and declaring that He is Lord.

(Read verse 1)
Intro: Paul loves the Jewish people and he is grieved for them because their hearts are harden against Jesus.
Paul wants the Jewish people to be saved
What they fail to understand is rejecting Jesus is rejecting God
#1 What does it mean to be saved?
Being saved means that you will not be judged and found guilty by God for your sin.
You are forgiven and when you die your soul will not be cast out into outer darkness, which is hell.
1. (V2) Enthusiasm, or misdirected zeal does not save
A) They refuse to accept God’s way and they cling to the law
B) The law does not save
C) The law pointed to the need for a savior
Application: You cannot worship God according to popular opinion or political correctness .
We worship God and know Him based on what the Bible teaches us
Today’s society there is pressure to conform to these ideas..
A) Promiscuity
B) Homosexuality
C) Abortion
D) Transgender
People make a mockery of God by clamming to know God, but rejecting Him through their actions.
#2 How do I become saved?
2. V9-12 Believe in your heart, Declare with your mouth and Trust in Christ.
A) You know your saved when you have a changed life
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
B) True Belief requires change in life
Based on the teaching of the Bible, life is no longer about me, its about living like Christ and glorifying Him
C) We must DECLARE that Jesus is Lord
Through our words
Actions, by the way we live
D) You must continue to TRUST in Christ
In life we face uncertainty, thus we must focus on Christ and trust in His promises
If we walk away from the faith because we no longer trust in Christ for salvation, then we were never His to begin with
