2 Corinthians 4:1–10; 5:1–10
Only as we have hope in Christ will we be a success in the Christian life. The Bible says we are saved by hope—Romans 8:24. Faith will help to keep hope alive. Many cannot sleep because they have no hope in the future!
There are three conditions of hope:
1. PERSONAL HOPE—4:1–7
In 2 Cor. 3:18 It talks about how in the New Covenant after Jesus death we now have a personal relationship with Jesus and that access transforms us more to be like Him. In verse 4 we are seeing that now that we have come to this transformation we see what its like to be in the Ministry of God.
You see personal hope In Jesus means we never give up. We need real transformation. We reject our old ways of doing things and hold on to the truth that God loves us and has set us free.
We have now experienced the Glory of God and His light shines in us.
We also need to remember as it says in verse 7 that we can not do this alone. We were never meant too. He compares our bodies to fragile jars of clay. In order for us to have real hope we need to realize that our great power is from God, not from ourselves

2. POWER OF HOPE—4:8–10

8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

The Power of that Hope thats in Jesus i that although bad things may happen we are not crushed, confused, depressed, bullied, forgotten, cast down, or destroyed. Because we remember that not only did Jesus die for us but that our bodies are a temple for Him.
Thats the power that hope in Jesus brings. I can’t imagine going through difficult things without Him. When you make God Lord over your life you are already forgiven. You are already redeemed. We need to walk in that…CONSTANTLY!
3. PURPOSE OF HOPE—5:1–10

For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

The purpose of the Hope that is given to us by God is that We can be confident in that we know that although we may go through struggles here on earth that God is/ and always will be there.
we are here on this earth but we have a home in heaven.
At the end of it all we ALL will have to appear before God and face judgement.
In order to have Hope we need Jesus. In order to have Jesus we need to accept Him as our Lord and savior. You can have true confidence in Christ.
Those who do not know Christ have no hope!—1 Thessalonians 4:13. You may have hope by accepting Christ as your personal Savior—John 1:12; 1 John 3:2, 3.

Totally without hope one cannot live.
To live without hope is to cease to live.
