1. Remember who you are

Text: Matthew 16:13-21 NLT
“When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.””
1) You have a revelation of Who Jesus is (Cross road).
2) You then understand who you are. (Identity)
3) You then discover your part in His Church (Mission)

2. Keep your zeal

God never gives more than you can handle. Life doesn’t work out the way you think.
Find the way forward, sometimes it’s going backwards first.
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

3. Believe for the miraculous

Mark 16:17-18 KJV
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
You can lose your edge. Miracles do happen but only for those that believe. Look for the God opportunity
2B. Speak in tongues
1 Cor 14:18
18I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.

4. Don’t despise prophecy

1 Thes 5:20
20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good,
Gods Word is alive. Always has been always will be but We know in part and see in part. Humans get it wrong. Lets remember we are all broken vessels being changed day by day into His likeness.

5. Always look for the gospel in your messages

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for theGreek.
The Bible points to the message of the gospel. Can you see Jesus in the passage

6. Never look down on believer or unbeliever

1 Tim 1:15
We are all sinners and have no reason to feel more than any other.
We have been pretty ugly for a long time as Christians as well as amazing. Keep on working at being loving but not compromising the truth.

7. Read your Bible and Pray!

Do the SOAP and ACTS
SOAP stands for:
Scripture
Observation
Application
Prayer
The ACTS method of Christian prayer goes like this:
Adoration: Give God praise and honor for who he is as Lord over all.
Confession: Honestly deal with the sin in your prayer life.
Thanksgiving: Verbalize what you're grateful for in your life and in the world around you.
Supplication: Pray for the needs of others and yourself.
Do it with people.
PS 119:11 “Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.”

8. Deal with your crap of life.

Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” And immediately, as everyone watched, the man jumped up, picked up his mat, and went home praising God. Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe, and they praised God, exclaiming, “We have seen amazing things today!” (Luke 5:17-26 NLT)
What I’m not saying is stay being abused. What I am saying is have good advisors around u.
Friends to your destiny
Proven spiritual evidence
Understand the culture
Committed to a bigger picture.
Tell you uncomfortable things

9. Find the God moments in life

Doors open and you never know what’s behind them.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
You can lose your edge. Miracles do happen but only for those that believe. Look for the God opportunity
