______

Good Friday was definitely not good for Jesus but it is good for us.

Good Friday reminds us of four things:

1. Jesus loves us very much

For God so loved the world… - John 3:16

This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as … a sacrifice for our sins. - 1 Jn 4:10

2. He offered Himself as a Sacrifice for our sins

For our redemption, justification, and salvation

He sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself. - Heb 7:27

3. He broke the barrier between God and sinners

For our reconciliation with God

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Rom 3:23

4. He made it possible for us to approach God's throne of grace with confidence

To receive mercy and find grace in our time of need (Heb 4:16)
