Sermon in a sentence: God's covenantal faithfulness, even in times like these, leads us to obedience.
Mordecai’s Faith (vs. 12-14)
Mordecai believed God would save his people because of his
covenants.
We must be very careful to not misunderstand God’s promises. This will lead to disappointment and a false understanding of God.
He also believed that God sovereignly placed Esther on the throne.
Remember, Mordecai and Esther weren’t model Jews. Yet, God chose to use these questionable characters to demonstrate his glory!
Esther’s Resolve (vs. 15-16)
This is the first time we see Esther acting like a Jew. She calls for a fast, weeping, and morning.
Then she is prepared to die to do what is right.
God’s Provision
Jesus did not come to earth with just a possibility but with certainty.
