We all have experienced or witnessed great hardship. We can shake our fist at God with misplaced fear in our hearts, blaming him; but when we yield our hearts in trust and hope with humbled fear for the Lord, we find that the God of judgment promises deliverance from trials. There are two different types of fear of God that are exposed in the first nine plagues of judgment on the Egyptians. We must possess the right fear of the God of judgment, so that we may trust and hope in his deliverance.
