The Wedding Feast is heaven
The King = God
The Son = Jesus
Verse 3
the servants - the prophets

again, they ignored
farm - possessions
business (Emporia - merchandise, commerce, trade, business) - pursuit of wealth
much more interested in their own things than the things of God (religious elite)
Verse 6
treated them shamefully and killed them (the prophets)

Verse 7

plenty of people have a problem with this

Jan Lambrecht writes that he must “protest against these disturbing features. We revolt against an inhuman, cruel God.”

Marianne Blickenstaff - The son is not Jesus, and the king represents not God but a vicious tyrant. The improperly dressed man of 22:11 heroically resists the tyrant and remains silent because he trusts God

Verse 8-10

the calling in of everyone else, including the main roads, is symbolic of the inclusion of the gentiles
