Read Mark 1:35 "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
"Share examples from the Gospels of Jesus' prayer life, such as the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) and His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39).
Discuss how we can model our own prayer life after Jesus' example, and how prayer can help us to grow in our relationship with God and discern His will for our lives.
Part 2: The Power of Jesus' Prayer Life
Discuss the power of Jesus' prayer life, including His ability to perform miracles, heal the sick, and cast out demons.
Read Matthew 14:23-25 "After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake."
