“my brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For is a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “you sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “you stand over there,” or, “sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?”

partiality: basically being biased towards something or someone. it occurs when you show favoritism to one person or thing over another.

We are to treat each other as equal for that is how the Lord sees us
Our faith depends on how we treat others.
Favoritism kills faith?
ephesians 6
colossians 3:23-25 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.”
1 John 4:19-20 “We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.”
Leviticus 19:15 “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.”
