The writer of this epistle does not mention Himself in His letters, but traditionally, “John who was one of the twelve original Apostles of Jesus Christ” (Bible Dictionary, “John,Epistles of”). When we look on 1 John 1:1-4, and 4:14, It shows that He was an eye witness of the resurrection of Jesus the redeemer.
