AFFAIR-PROOFING YOUR MARRIAGE

*SIX STEPS OF PREVENTATIVE CARE FOR YOUR MARRIAGE*

 

1.

MAKE A COMMITMENT TO *[GOD’S STANDARDS]* !

 

/3 //His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who *called us through his own glory and goodness.*

4 Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you *may escape from the corruption* that is in the world because of lust, and may become *participants of the divine nature*./

MAGNIFY *[THE CONSEQUENCES]* !

 

/32 //But he who commits *adultery has no sense*; he who does it *destroys himself*.//

MAINTAIN MY *[MARRIAGE]* !

 

/14//…the Lord *was a witness between you and the wife* of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though *she is your companion* and *your wife by covenant*.//

//Did not one God make her?

Both flesh and spirit are his.

And what does the one God desire?

Godly offspring.

So look to yourselves, and *do not let anyone be faithless to the wife of his youth*.//

So *take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless*./

MANAGE MY *[MIND]*

 

/12 //Blessed is anyone who *endures temptation*.

Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

13 No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.

14 But one is tempted *by one’s own desire*, being lured and enticed by it; 15 then, when that desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and that sin, when it is fully grown, gives birth to death.

MAINTAIN PROPER *[RELATIONSHIPS]*
