How Satan Attacks The Family

Genesis 2:24

Genesis 2:24 (Matthew 19)

I. There is a Distortion of the Family.

Wrong people in the wrong place (Isaiah 3:12)

Women are to guide the home. (1 Tim 5:14)

Men are to lead the family.

Children are a product of their raising.

Children have to rise above their raising if they are able to make their family succeed later in life.

II. There is a Relation of the Family.

Shacking up

People’s reasoning for shacking up.

To test the physical arrangements.

To test the financial arrangements.

Satan’s reason for shacking up.

The family is modeled after the Lord and his bride the church.

God’s blessing for not shacking up.

Simple: God honors His Word.

Salvation: God can save the spouse.

Significant: God will help you if you will follow His Word.

III. There is a Perversion of the Family.

Sodomite relationships

God has always intended one man and one woman.

Satan has always attacked God’s pattern.

The reason for this attack (Eph 5:32)

The family is modeled after the Lord and his bride the church.
