Greeting:

First Giving Honor to Pastor Drake and the New Covenant Family for Letting us use this facility for this service.
I give honor to the Clergy in the house, To the family and friends. I greet you with Jesus' Joy.
1 Thessalonian 4:13-18 “Now we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you will not grieve as also the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, thus also God will bring those who have fallen asleep through Jesus together with him. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain until the Lord’s coming, will not possibly precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be snatched away at the same time together with them in the clouds for a meeting with the Lord in the air, and thus we will be together with the Lord always. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
Were are here to Celebrate the life of Mary Jane Carter, remembering how we felt when we were around her.
I was thinking about Mary Jane and how she wore that big smile, and no matter where she was, you knew Mary Jane was around because you heard her before you seen her.
Dienesa and I would go to Aunt Junes House and before we even go to the porch, we could hear Mary Jane Laughing and Cutting up, and we knew we were in for some laughs .
And one time we walked in the house, we thought they were fighting , because she carried that same energy in both emotions. So when we go in house, we would have to survey the territory to see if it was safe to enter...
Prob. 17:22 - A Merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
And she gave out alot of doses of laughing medicine to everyone.

She was Passionate:

She was passionate about what she Loved and Believed In.
She would argue you down even with a few French words (i mean alot of French words) if she thought she was right.
She was passionate in protecting what she loved. The protection of her children and family, even to point of fighting for them if they were right or wrong.
I remeber a time when me and Dienesa went to Aunt Junes House to Visit and the kids were playing outside and one of the kids ( I don’t remember if it was Camy or Vicky that came and told Mary Jane that another parent said something to her.
Without hesitation she heard what was said and went straight to the neighbor’s house and started defending her child.

She was straightforward

She didn’t mind sharing her thought on any topic.
She did not sugarcoat anything,
She made sure you knew where she was coming from, at all times.
She kept it ‘ Real and consistent.
She had the same energy towards everyone no matter their status or title in life,
I said all of this to say that,
this shows how God uses everybody for his Glory

God Uses everybody for his Glory

Moses was a Murderer and God used him to bring the Children of Israel out of bondage,
Paul persecuted and Killed Christians and God used him Mightitly to bless and save the same people that he once persecuted and killed.
I Tell you God uses everybody
Therefore We cannot judge anyone. God often will use the person you would least expect to get his work here on earth completed.
Therefore God used Mary Jane to challenge some of us to do better.
To bring laughter to other
Gave Honesty & Truth to some and compassion and Love to many.

Closing:

I thank God for using Mary Jane to challenge us to Live Out Loud,
Challenging us to be happy with who we are, and not waiting for approval from other people.
To Stand on what you believe.
To have compassion for those that are in need share the love of Jesus with everyone.
We know that Aunt June introduced her children to Jesus and gave them the opportunity to receive the Love of Jesus.
There may be someone that has been searching for someone or something to fill that void in your life.
You’ve tried everything to fill it,
and nothing seems to work.
Nothing will be able to fill that void but Jesus.
If you would like to receive the gift of God’s Love, Please see me or any of the pastors or Ministers you see here today and we will help you to fill that Void, through the love of Jesus Christ!
