God's Provision of Life

God is the giver of life

God breathed the breath of life

This breath of life made us a living soul (Gen 2:1-7)

Greater than the animals, now with meaning and purpose in our life

More than just air passing through our lungs

We are precious in God’s eyes and he cares for us (Matthew 6:25-34)

This breath showed our dependence on Him

What is man? (Psalms 8)

God created all the planets and stars, mountains and rivers that have outlasted man, are grander than man

However, God placed us as the prize of his creation but also the ones who are most dependant on HIm

God gave life and can take life

God holds all life in his hands

Daniel 5:23-28 Belshazzar life was brought to an end that night (Gen 6:3 only 120 years)

Job understood this

When he lost everything he knew God allowed it to happen (Job 1:20-22)

Job 27 God holds the lives of the wicked and righteous

Elihu also (Job 34:12-15)

God deserves praise from those who have breath

This seperates God from all others in the world

God is the creator and commands all breath everywhere to repent (Acts 17:22-31)

Because he gave us life every breath should bring praise to Him

Isaiah 42:1-10 sing unto the Lord a new song

He will not give his glory to another
