John 10:10 NKJV
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 RVR60
Jesus came to bring us abundant life. Not just escape from death, but the redemption to the heart of God that opens up life to the full.
Christians should not be gloomy. A gloomy, downcast, grumpy Christian is either going through hardships and needs prayer, or they do not understand the life Jesus gives.
To know this, you cannot go part way. You cannot pick and choose what you will be a part of. The Doctor prescribes you antibiotics to treat Pneumonia. The bottle says “Take Morning and Night for 10 days”. It also says, “Take all the medicine”. For it to work, you cannot go part of the way, or change the instructions and still expect the full working of the medicine.
There are some things I want to cover today that keep you from living the promised Abundant Life. The first is Disobedience.

1. Disobedience - Desobediencia

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 NVI
God has a plan for you -
His plan for you is for your good - to give you a hope and a future
You must choose to walk in that plan.
Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5–6 RVR60
John 15:5–8 NKJV
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
John 15:5–8 RVR60

2. Unforgiveness - Falta de Perdón

Matthew 7:1–2 NKJV
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Matthew 7:1–2 RVR60
Matthew 18:21–35 NKJV
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”
Matthew 18:21–35 RVR60

3. Ignorance - Ignorancia

Psalm 19:1–2 NKJV
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.
Psalm 19:1–2 RVR60
Everything around us is preaching.
Creation displays God’s mercy and grace. It tells us of His grandeur.
But the world is also preaching. You may have heard it. Their sermons are in every book, song, tv show, movie, billboard, news article - and they too are shaping your world view.
There are many Christians who feel like God’s word is true, but they only received what the world said about the Bible
IGNORANCE KEEPS YOU FROM EXPERIENCING THE FULLNESS OF LIFE GOD HAS FOR YOU.
Psalm 1:1–3 NKJV
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Psalm 1:1–3 RVR60
Hebrews 12:1–2 NKJV
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
