Fighting and Living by the Power of the Holy Spirit…! Galatians 5:16-25
Todays struggle between good and evil seems to be more and more prevalent in todays society. With social media taking over the minds of our children! We have Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat · Reddit, Pinterest, and many others platforms that tend to occupy the minds of our soul....! There is a mass shooting almost every day! shot-ups in schools, churches, banks, events of social gathering. We have always been at War in one form of another. But now it seem to be hitting closer and closer to home.

But now it seem to be hitting closer and closer to home.
We have become a Society obsessed with Weapons. They says there are more Guns in America then there are America’s In other words, we have more guns then people. We have all types of weapons, Bayonets, knives, Grenades, hand guns of all types, Rifles such as Ar-15 assault rifle, Carbines, Shotguns, Submachine guns, and if thats not enough how about W-M-D’s Weapons of Mass Destruction nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological! WE are Nation that set out on Self Destruction…!

I have notice that In the Church some of us are carrying our own Weapons. W-S-D’s (Weapon of Self Destruction). WE can cause Loss of life to others, but most of all we are losing the battle with-in ones self. We are at Opposition with self…! We our fighting this battle with the wrong Weapons! We are on a path of self destruction. There is an internal battle between our Old, Worldly self and our new self in Christ Jesus. We face a daily Struggle against our Sinful Nature to do whats right and the Spirit Man. We can sometime feel like we are losing this battle! Somebody say its on Now! But I have some Good news, The fights not over yet!

Here in Galatians Paul is emphasizing that our Primary aim in this life As Christians is to be able to fully conform to the image of Christ. In other Words I must be More Like Christ… Heres the Work! This means putting off (Letting GO) of that Old Self/ that Old Nature. This means Living a life Characterized by Righteousness. This means WE can’t walk like WE use to Walk, WE can’t talk like WE use to talk! WE can’t go to some of the places WE use to Go, WE can’t Look at folks like I use too! WE can’t cuss out folks like WE use too! Romans 12:2 That We can no longer be conformed to this World, but WE must me transformed by renewing of Our mind, so that WE may prove what the will of God Is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect! We wanna be found Doing what is Pleasing and Acceptable to the Father.!

Besides the world, there is another strong Obstruction to Our Spiritual growth that we face, and this is the Enemy. The Bible tells us that Satan is like a roaring lion, prowling about and seeking Whom he may Devour, Whom He May Discourage, Whom He May Deceive, Whom He Can Plant Doubts and Fears In the Heart and Minds to make us non effective in our Spiritual Progress, To Make Us Spiritual Weaklings....! This is why the Bible tells us to be Vigilant and put on the Armor of God ( Wrap yourself up in Truth, Righteousness, Slip on the Gospel of Peace, Shade yoself with the Shield of faith, Crown yo head with The Helmet of Salvation, And Pick up your Sword of the Spirit the Living WORD of GOD....! so that we may be able to Stand.... And Not bow down to a Sinful Nature, We must be able to Stand against the Devil…!
