Heb 10:1's "Not the very Image"

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things,

But the law was not an image. It shrouded the image. In the words of the same Apostle, the law contains the shadow of the goods to come, not the image of those things.

The church then is also the third temple as the temple of God’s Holy Spirit.

God is especially present in the hearts of His people, by His Holy Spirit; and indeed the hearts of holy men are temples in the truth of things, and in type and shadow they are heaven itself. For God reigns in the hearts of His servants; there is His Kingdom.
