several new years goals concerning either praying or reading more often or daily

how many of you have kept those goals or even come close?

why do you want to do those things and keep up with them?

1 Cor 9

19-23

we study not just so that we might know more facts from the bible

not just so that we can understand a story a little better or know a few more words from languages that we don’t speak anymore

we study and pray and do all of these things so that more people can come to know God and not by any merit of our own

even all the other things that we do in life that we enjoy are meant for our enjoyment, but Paul sees them all as opportunities to save more people

be disciplined in this and in all that you do so that you might save a few
