Struggles for Jewish Christians
Confidence, Expectation, Testimony
The time is now to re-embrace faith.
READ (HEBREWS 10:37-11:3)
True faith responds obediently to the words of God.
Confidence in God and an expectation without visible proof that it will happen.
Is God trustworthy?
“Faith is acting like God is telling the truth.” - Dr Tony Evans
“How do I trust God?”
There are Biblical examples.

1. God Approves Faithful People.

“approved” (martyreo)
Testify, bear witness, give evidence for.
In verse 2, God commends the OT figures of scripture.
“ancestors”
God bore witness to them in victory of their faith over all obstacles, and their character and deeds are recorded in the scriptures.
“I want to see miracles...”
There were generations of people who grew up without the New Testament or direct knowledge of Jesus.
We have no excuses.
We can base our faith on God’s written word.

2. Everything was Created through the Word of God.

“Word” (rhema)
spoken word
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” - (Genesis 1:1)
“Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days scoffing and following their own evil desires, saying, Where is his coming that he promised? Ever since our ancestors fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation. They deliberately overlook this: By the word of God the heavens came into being long ago and the earth was brough about from water through water.” - (1 Peter 3:3-5)
“Created”
Fitly formed and consolidated.
“By faith”
Connecting action to a belief system.
Faith is measured by our steps and not our feelings.
People want to know how you made it through the storm.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” - (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Intelligent design can be explained scientifically by the INTELLIGENT DESIGNER unexplainable.
Faith trusts in the sufficiency of God while the rest of the world continues to ask questions.
