4. Common arguments for abortions.

a. What about rape and incest?

i. An often-cited study from the Guttmacher Institutefrom 2004 states that around 1% of abortions are due to incest or rape.

ii. Over 98% of abortions are out of convenience.

iii. Should how a child is conceived decide their value?

b. What about women that are at risk of death?

i. Again, only .118% - 1/10 of a percent of all abortions in America are due to this.

c. What if the child will be severely disabled?

i. Nearly 2 million people are waiting to adopt.

1. Many of them would be willing to adopt, no matter the child’s disabilities.

ii. Often, doctors are wrong.

iii. 92% of women abort Down Syndrome Children.

5. There are many Pregnancy Crisis Centers/ Advocacy Centers in Florida.

a. Many of them provide support for women even if they have chosen to have an abortion.

b. Planned Parenthood

i. Claim that abortion is only a part of what they offer.

1. Planned Parenthood’s U.S. market share for Pap tests is 0.97%. It performed 271,539 tests in fiscal year 2014-15, out of 28.1 million tests nationwide (source)

2. Planned Parenthood’s U.S. market share for clinical breast exams is 1.8%. It performed 363,803 exams in fiscal year 2014-15, out of 20 million exams nationwide. (Note: These are physical exams, not mammograms. Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms.)(source)
