Exalting of His Name (Praise)

Praise - to boast, to glorify on account of perfections or excellent works, to honor, the expression of gratitude for personal favors, to extol in words or songs, to magnify
Psalm 22:3 KJV 1900
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
inhabitest - to sit, abide, dwell

Extent of His Name (Everything!)

Everything is commanded to praise the Lord!
Luke 19:40 KJV 1900
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Excellency of His Name(13)

It’s a Superb Name (vs.13)

Excellent - high, unattainable, there’s no name like the Lord’s name!
When scribes would write down the name of Jehovah, they would wash their entire bodies, wash their hands 7 times, grab a new pen or quill to write the Lord’s name down, and throw the pen or quill away. (God’s name isn’t a cuss word) (In God we trust is being removed)

It’s a Saving Name (Romans 10:13, Acts 4:12)

It’s a Sanctifying Name (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

It’s a Strong Name

It’s a Safe Name

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

It’s a Sovereign Name

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
