Leadership Structure Change

Ignite Board 4-5 People- Legally and Financially Responsible

Responsible for overall vision and direction of Ignite

Ignite Senior Leadership Teams- each campus having an eldership team of 6 people with the campus Pastors leading it. Responsible for spiritual health, well being of members. Under Greg and Caz’s leadership and local vision for campus.

Ignite Leadership Culture- No decisions made without a consensus with the team.

Cobram Running Cost- Approx. $70,000 anum.

last Financial year- $35,000

All money given in cobram goes into cobram account.

Simeon To Peter

Mk. 1:16-18 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Follow Me- come and follow me

I Will Make- make a pathway - “Take you on a jouney” It a long journey or distance.

Become- Come into existance- to make you something you aren’t yet. Simeon the fisherman was going to made into something he wasnt yet.

Simeon was being transformed into Peter as a result of walking on the path of following where Jesus was going to lead him.

When you met Christ and chose to follow Him he began the process of leading on a path/ journey and make you into what I planned you to be.

Jesus Is Building- Constructing- Making Peter

Simeon Become Peter Matthew 16:15–19 (NIV) 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

My- Ownership- Its His Church

He Builds the Church- He is the designer- Its His plan- He Constructs it.

Church- ĕkklēsia- a assembly of called out people.

Jesus Builds People- we assist Him by making Disciples- followers

We Make Disciples Matthew 28:19 (NKJV) 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

We Make Followers of Jesus - people who act like Jesus, talk like Jesus, do what Jesus did.

My Hardest Moments To Act Like Jesus Have Been In Leadership Coflict -

When I have had to try to keep acting like Jesus, talking like Jesus and doing what He did

Conflict Resolution- In Leadership

Leadership Teams- being part of a leadership team is like being in a marriage.

A Marriage Starts with 2 people loving each other and making a commitment to love each other no matter what.

Hard times Come and strain the relationship

Mistakes are made and the relationship is tested.

Conflict Arises and Confrontations happen. Done the right way the marriage is enriched and the strengthened.

Conflict done the wrong way..... can end with 2 people who once loved each other literally will hate and despise.

Conflict Resolution- we teach people in pre- marriage courses

Conflicts will arise.

Conflict- a serious disagreement or argument.

Resolution- the act of finding an answer or solution to a conflict or problem.

Acting, Talking, Doing What Jesus Did.

Loving- Forgiving- Following Jesus.
