1. Christ, the messenger. Vs, 1-2.

God has spoken in the past in many ways but now speaks through Christ.
This means that the very words of Christ are God-breathed (even more so because he is God).
God has spoken to mankind in love through the Son.
The only way to understand God is to understand Him the way in which the Son has revealed him.

2. Christ, the message. Vs, 2-3.

He is the appointed heir of all creation.
The superiority of the Son is in agreement with the God-head.
He is the creator Himself.
He is the one who spoke the world into being.
He is the radiance of God’s glory.
The ultimate expression of the glory of God.
He is the exact expression of His nature.
Everything that the Father and Spirit are in nature or essence so is the Son!
If the Father is good, gracious, loving ect, so is the Son.
He sustains all things by the power of his hand.
If it happens it is either caused or allowed by Christ.

3. Christ, The fulfillment. Vs, 3-4.

He made purification for the sin of mankind.
He did this on the cross bearing the wrath of God in our stead.
He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
He took His rightful place on the throne again.
Nevermore to be dethroned, but rather to make intercession for His people.
In all this, He is superior to all angelic beings.
He always had been.
The humbled King is now exalted to the highest throne.
Conclusion: Christ is worthy to be praised and worshipped. Recognize who and what he is and worship him for it.
