Introduction

1.       Your Body is a temple of the Holy Spirit

• Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make [them] members of a harlot? Certainly not!(1 Corinthians 6:15 NKJV)
• Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

2.       Jesus Warns Against the abuse of alcohol.

·         "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.   (Luke 21:34 NKJV)

3.       PAUL GIVES US A TIMELY WARNING AND INSTRUCTION.

• See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord [is].  And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, (Ephesians 5:15-18 NKJV)

4.       DRUG ABUSE AND ALCHOL ABUSE WILL LEAD TO ETERNAL DAMNATION!

• Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV)
• Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, (sorcery drugs), hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told [you] in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV)
• But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.  For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.  Therefore do not be partakers with them.  For you were once darkness, but now [you are] light in the Lord. Walk as children of light  (Ephesians 5:3-8 NKJV)
• "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward [is] with Me, to give to every one according to his work.  "I am the Alpha and the Omega, [the] Beginning and [the] End, the First and the Last."  Blessed [are] those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.  But outside [are] dogs and (sorcerers drugs) and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.  (Revelation 22:12-15 NKJV)
