Proverbs 3:5–6 HCSB
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; 6 think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

Need some input: What are the feelings that people struggle with the most?
Rick:
Not being included, being left out, unappreciated, alone even in a crowd. Take your pick.♥️
Jessica:
Rick , yes! being excluded, not included, or invited is very hurtful.
Rick:
Jessica, when do we realize sometimes others need to be “drawn” in. No one should ever be left to fend for themselves. No two people are the same. People need people too. Sometimes it’s terrible to feel like you are just surviving on a deserted island. Thanks

Rejection & Acceptance

If you have ever experienced rejection, raise your hand!

1) Rejection is Universal

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

2) Rejection in Spiritual

Rev. Curt Landry identifies (six) signs of the Spirit of Rejection at work in your life:
Conceived out of wedlock by a Catholic Father, Jewish Mother in 1954. Given up for adoption and lived in an orphanage for the first 6 months of his life.
Grew up and was prosperous and in the country club set, drinking and using some drugs… and then his wife went to one of those churches on the other side of the tracks and got born gain and filled with the Holy Spirit. He was mad at God because he thought Jesus stole his wife. Then his daughter got saved and (long story short) the love that flowed out of them changed him. God has reconnected him with his birth parents and healed all sense of rejection in his life.
He are his six signs that the spirit of rejection is at work in you life along with the 7th one that I have added:

Seven Manifestations of the Spirit of Rejection

1) You feel despondent. There seems to be no words of encouragement that can be spoken over you to set you free from this feeling of rejection.

2) You feel left out of conversations as if you are an observer, unable to interact.

3) You feel that life’s opportunities have passed you by, and it is too late to do anything about it.

4) You feel rejected if you are not recognized for your accomplishments by those in authority.

5) You feel the spirit of envy setting in as you begin comparing your situations with others. The feeling of envy and comparison partner with rejection and tell you that you were not given a fair chance in life.

6) You feel the need to prove yourself while at the same time feeling you can never measure up.

7) You believe that your acceptance only comes through your performance.

3) Rejection is Generational

Spirit of Rejection is Generational
Today, we can see that the spirit of rejection is often passed down in the family line through…
Neglect
Selfishness
Physical, emotional, and sexual abuse
Drug use
Broken marriages and families
Inability to accept parental roles
Generational poverty
Repeated negative words and messages

4) Rejection is an active spiritual attack of the enemy

How it it works actively:
It works on you to make you feel rejection.
It works on those around you to perpetuate the rejection.
Questions:
Have you ever been going into a group setting and you felt like an outsider before you ever got there?
Has someone ever said something totally platonic that you perceived as a direct put off. And if you dared say something (and risking further rejection) they were totally confused. Or the same thing said to someone else didn’t bother them at all?
Have you ever seen someone you knew really need acceptance or friendship and you had compassion on them but every time you got around them, it just grated on your last nerve and you couldn’t figure out why?
The end purpose of rejection is to convince you that you that:
1) You are rejected by God.
2) You can only earn His acceptance through your performance.
Let’s tear that down!

1) Understand that every work of the devil is for destruction.

John 10:10 NKJV
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

2) Understand that every word of devil is a lie.

John 8:44 NKJV
44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
John 8:44 NIV
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 8:44 AMP
44 You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.
1 John 4:1–4 NKJV
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

3) Don’t believe what the enemy says, believe what God did!

Ephesians 1:3–6 (NKJV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons [and daughters] by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Colossians 1:19–20 NKJV
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
reconcile = reconcile again
Acts 3:17–20 (NKJV)
17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
Acts 3:21 (NKJV)
21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
REFRESHING
1. rejuvenation† — the restoration of vitality and freshness.

cooling, Posidon.72; refreshment, SEG36.1277 (Mesopotamia, iii A.D.), exposure, ἕλκεος Hp.Fract.25.

2. drying up, Str.10.2.19.

3. relief, respite

A Greek-English Lexicon ἀποκατάστᾰσις

Isaiah 53:1–6 NKJV
1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

4) Believe what God Says

You are completely accepted:
1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
You are extremely valuable:
1 Corinthians 7:23 AMP
23 You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in your own estimation] slaves to men [but consider yourselves slaves to Christ].
You are eternally loved:
Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV
3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
You are totally forgiven:
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 NKJV
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 NKJV
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 8:1 NKJV
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Wednesday Class:
The Spirit of Rejection is not from people:
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Once you understand the strategy of the enemy and the spiritual realm you can…

Activate the Word of God

James 1:22–25 (NKJV)
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the word, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Use the Word of God to take down the enemy

Ephesians 6:13–17 NKJV
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Ephesians 6:18 NKJV
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
John 8:31 NKJV
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
John 8:32 NKJV
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:33–38 NKJV
33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” 34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. 37 “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.”

Be set free from the stronghold of rejection and live victoriously

John 8:36 NKJV
36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Romans 12:1–2 NKJV
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1–2 AMP
1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Through the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross, you can be victorious in the battle against the spirit of rejection. His blood was shed for you and still speaks on your behalf (see Hebrews 12:24 ).
