Linking family traditions to stories or memories can provide a powerful connection for successive generations to a family's heritage and legacy. God has always provided His people tangible ways to connect the next generation to the bigger story of His saving grace. In Exodus 12-13 we find reminders that provide the story of salvation when asked by their children (12:26) and become like "a mark on [their] hands or frontlets between [their] eyes" (13:16), pointing them to the God Who delivers.
