Q and A - 4/23/2023

1. The vision to start a new church (my experience):

-We will gather to worship and glorify God

-We will preach the whole counsel of God’s Word

-We will edify the saints and equip for ministry

-We will the Biblical Model for Church Organizational Structure

2. A council who is praying and seeking God’s guidance to bring before you

-The whole body will be involved, we will inform you, we will be transparent

-council started as guys praying seeking God’s will in this, once the church is established and we see that we have the Biblical model set, the council will disband

3. We will start Core Seminars tentatively May 3rd in homes, we will start with two knowing the possibility to start a 3rd

4. Focus on youth and children

-1st we want to help equip parents to disciple their kids, develop a gudie during the week based upon the sermon that parents can teach with their kids

-plan youth and older kids camps, youth dnow June 2-4 at FBC Thibodeaux

-activity each Sunday that reflects the sermon to help the children understand the Biblical text

-Potential for a youth gathering twice a month to fellowship and to go through a core seminar

5. Incorporation

-Bylaws – council working on a basic bylaws

6. Membership

-When incorporated we will begin 4-6 week membership classes on what it means to be a member of the church

-We will then have member interviews, important questions like: what is the gospel? The individual’s commitment to the church
