The New King James Version Chapter 2
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Sectarianism is Carnal
3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?
Questions and Observations
What is the Hidden Wisdom? V6 & V7
The Corinthians were focused on outward gifts and people around them that were considered wise, instead of a personal relationship with Christ.
Bro Al - Christ in you the hope of Glory
We do this also, we often say - oh that brother or that Sister is so wise.
But Paul says a few versus up - I determined not to know anything but Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.
What would Paul consider a Mature Christian?
Knows the Wisdom of God
What would the Rulers of this age not done > If they were Mature? V8
Crucified Christ
Think about this, the ones who Crucified Christ was wise in their own eyes.
What is keeps the Rulers or a Natural Man from knowing the Wisdom of God? V9
The Natural Man Can Not understand the ways of God
How does God reveal his Hidden Wisdom to us? V 10
Thru his Spirit
We have recieved the Spirit that we may know what? V12
The things that have been freely Given to us by God.
Why can’t the natural man receive the things of the Spirit? V 14
Because he does not have the Spirit of God and are Spiritually Discerned.
How can you tell the difference between a mature Christian and a Spiritual Baby? (3: V1)
Carnal - Which means they are living out of their Soul and not living from Gods Spirit.
The Picture
1 Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Have People Stand Up
Body - If I touch your Body you can feel it.
Look in the mirror thats the part you will see
Souls = Mind, Will, Emotions and Conscience (Personality).
Soul - But I can also touch you by words

The spirit is something completly different.

John 3:6 NKJV
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
There is no Direct Connection.
You can not in a Natural Way feel your Spirit.
The Spirit can not be accessed in any Natural Way.
This is a Big Problem.
The Spirit is the part of us that God Communicates with.
The Spirit is the part of us, that all of the Life and Power of God Flows thru.
James 2:26 NKJV
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The life giving part of you is the Spirit.
The Spirit Realm cannot be seen or felt.

Bible

The only way to Discern Spiritual Truth - is thru the Bible.
To just take it and believe it
John 6:63 NKJV
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Gods Word Reveals to us what is Spiritual Reality is.
James 1:23–25 NKJV
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
The Bible is like a mirror.
Let me ask
What must you do to be Blessed in what you do?
John 14:21 NKJV
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Just because you read the bible does not mean you know God.
Because you know greek and Hebrew does not mean you know God.
You might know of God.
Let me ask:
How can we know God?
When a person gets saved He loves and Forgives you.
Good News
His love and forgiveness is extended to everyone who will accept it - Free Gift
Agree?
If you are a Thief - Love and Forgiveness
If you are a Muderer on Death Row - Love and Forgiveness
Liar - Love and Forgiveness
There is nothing that a person can do that Gods love and forgiveness can not cover.
Heres the Bad News
The same way He died for you - Now you must die for Him.
And because He is a King and not a Democracy
The Constitution can not be amended.

Rich Young Ruler
Matthew 10
17 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do so that I may inherit eternal life?”18 But Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth.” 21 Looking at him, Jesus showed love to him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But he [a]was deeply dismayed by [b]these words, and he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
1 Kings 19:11–13 NKJV
11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
