But what does Paul mean, “be filled with the Spirit”? Some Christians say it’s about charismatic gifts. Others say it’s about deliverance from a weak Christian life. Others, it’s about extraordinary gifting or service. A final set of contrasts is in our verse this morning. The central idea of this text and message is that what fills the Christian’s mind is of great spiritual importance.
