Paul and Barnabas' reception in Lystra is one of the most bizarre reactions to the gospel in the book of Acts. Even so, it gives us an opportunity to consider the influence of worldview on our perception of truth, and it shows us the importance of God's grace, to give us a right perspective of the truth of the gospel.
