I’ve Told this Story Here Before…

But it’s So Helpful When Looking at this Topic…

That I’m Going to Tell it Again

During WW2, Some American Soldiers were Taken as POWs…

And Placed in a Concentration Camp

While Imprisoned in the Camp…

They Began Slowly Collecting Supplies to Make a Radio

Once They Built the Radio, They were Able to Connect to an American Station…

And They Heard that Germany had Surrendered and the War was Officially Over

But the German Soldiers Who were Keeping Them Prisoner…

Had Not Yet Been Informed of the Surrender

So They Continued Working as Guards Over the Prisoners

Mocking, Beating, and Mistreating Them

The Prisoners were Able to Endure the Suffering…

Because They Knew They were Already Victorious

The Enemy had Already Lost, Even if it Didn’t Seem Like it Yet

Very Soon, They would Be Rescued and Their Suffering would Be Over

Satan Only has Power in 2 Areas:

Sin and Death

He Tempts Us to Sin…

And When We Sin We Become Deserving of Death

When Jesus Died on the Cross…

He Died as a Sacrifice for Our Sins

Disciples of Jesus are Cleansed of Their Sins…

Which Means We are No Longer Deserving of Death

When Jesus Resurrected From the Dead…

He Conquered Death

It No Longer Holds Any Power Over Him or Those Who Belong to Him

Because of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection…

Satan has Been Rendered Powerless Against Jesus’ Kingdom

The War is Over

Jesus has Already Won

Now We’re Waiting and Enduring Until Jesus Returns to Rescue Us and Punish the Devil

But that Doesn’t Answer the Question:

“Why is There Still Evil in the World?”

Because, Even Though Jesus has Defeated the Devil…

And the Devil is Powerless Again the Kingdom…

Most People in the World aren’t in the Kingdom

And Many Who are Don’t Live Like it

Even Though the War is Over…

The Devil is Not an Enemy that Lays Down and Gives Up When He’s Lost

He Wants to Take as Many People Down with Him

He Tempts All People to Do Evil…

So They will Sin and Die

Evil Still Exists in the World Because:

King Jesus hasn’t Yet Returned to Bring About Satan’s End

He’s Defeated But Not Yet Destroyed

He’s Still Tempting People to Do Evil

And People Continue to Fight for the Team that’s Already Lost
