Those who disconnect to the church because of pride and you I don’t need you.
And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;

(Focus on Sanctification)
for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
Word of God helps fight against sin/temptation
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Just as the Word of God is used in your justification the Word of God is essential in your sanctification
You Can be a Doer of the Word of God (22-25)

Being a receiver is not the last stop
Prove yourself through action
The Deception - if you hear or study the bible you are spiritual
Not intended to be herd but to be obeyed
“If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.
The blessing comes from doing not from hearing
blessed when you apply what you are receiving
Instead of Knowledge you gain Wisdom
Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.
Hearing must lead to Obedience

23-24 The man in the mirror
The Word of God is the Mirror.
Mirrors tell you the truth of what you look like
Receives but does not apply
If I act inconsistent with the holy life God has called us to we will forget our position in Christ
When our practice doesn’t mirror our position we forget our original position - Andy Wood
For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.
Speaking in Biblical Languages, when you do not use or Medical field

Seeks to obey God in every area of life - Habitual doer (Daniel)
Now when Daniel knew that the document was signed, he entered his house (now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously.
Then the king gave orders, and Daniel was brought in and cast into the lions’ den. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Your God whom you constantly serve will Himself deliver you.”
When he had come near the den to Daniel, he cried out with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you constantly serve, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
Ezra 7:10 (NASB95)
