Happy Mother’s Day

I would like to continue with our short series on the Kingdom of God

The kingdom of God is a supernatural invisible realm, where God dwells, where the angels and archangels worship him, with cherubins and Seraphim’s, where His sons and daughter’s adore Him. Isaiah shares his vision when He saw the Lord. John in the book of Revelations shares what he saw about the throne room in Kingdom of God.

Jesus has invited us to live and fellowship with Him there, Is a real kingdom, Jesus opened the door for us to come in.

Today we are celebrating Mother’s Day, is important for us to see how God sees mothers, women of the Kingdom of God.

Motherhood is the oldest occupation in the world, you wouldn’t be here without a mother.

A Mother’s love sets a standard.

Most Mothers love their children.

We all relate differently to our mothers, at different seasons of our lives.

For some

At the age of 4 years old, think, my mother can do anything.

At the age of 12 mom doesn’t know everything.

At the age of 14th mom doesn’t know anything.

At the age of 18th mom is so out of step with the times she is so backwards.

But by the age of

25 mom knows a few things.

35 before we decide let’s get moms opinion.

45 I wonder what my mom would say about this.

65 I wish I could talk with my mom one more time.

Some of you may be feeling this way today as we think about mother’s, your mom is no longer with us here on earth.

Once we begin to have our own children, we begin to be more thankful more appreciative, for all our parents put up with us, thank you for your patient.

Ex One day this woman was pushing this stroller through Walmart and her little girl was screaming to the top oh her lungs the whole time, and the woman was saying very calmly calm down Elen, we are soon going home Elen, we are almost done Elen, everything is going to be ok Elen , one of the store clerks said to woman, mame I want commend you for being so patient with Elen, she said lady I am Elen, she was calming her self down.

Many times we are just getting by, by the skin of our teeth

Bu by the time you are a grandparent you look back and you say it was all worth it, I enjoy our Granddaughters so much, that I think sometimes, if I had the choice I would had the grand kids first.

We are going to read from Proverbs 31:10-31

For those who believe this message is not for me I’m not a mother, or I’m a man or a child, just wait, this passage has something for all of us.

The world has robbed us from a healthy and godly view of women, women put themselves down for not looking like a magazine model, man looks for the wrong things in a woman, children doesn’t know how to praise their mom.

Let’s look at this woman who is worth more than rubies a Super woman.

A virtuous Woman, Who Fears the Lord

Pro 31:10 An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls. [Pro_12:4; Pro_18:22; Pro_19:14]

Who can find her?

faithful

This is the kind of woman you want to look for

She is More precious the Jewels, worth far more than rubies.

Pro 19:14 House and wealth are the inheritance from fathers, But a wise, understanding, and sensible wife is [a gift and blessing] from the LORD.

Pro 31:11 The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence], And he will have no lack of gain.

1 Trustworthy

You just can trust your wife completely. What a great gift It’s to have a wife that you can have total trust in. You don’t have to be suspicious. You don’t have to be questioning. But you can just have that total confidence that they are true, that they are pure, that they are honest. Virtuous woman.

2 Cares for others

Pro 31:12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil All the days of her life.

She is loving and caring.

3 She is industrious.

Pro 31:13 She looks for wool and flax And works with willing hands in delight.

she provides, she has a business she makes good money,

my father’s generation, believed that women should stay at home. So our rich friends wives would complain about their very busy day where they had to go to gym in the morning and from there to their Tennis class, they barely made home for lunch from there they had a nail appointment and a hair appointment life can be very hard for some people.

Pro 31:14 She is like the merchant ships [abounding with treasure]; She brings her [household's] food from far away.

4 She is diligent.

Pro 31:15 She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And assigns tasks to her maids. [Job_23:12]

Pro 31:16 She considers a field before she buys or accepts it [expanding her business prudently]; With her profits she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.

Pro 31:17 She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] And makes her arms strong.

She is not lazy, she faces the challenge.

My wife is a great example of that.

Pro 31:18 She sees that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead].

Pro 31:19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands hold the spindle [as she spins wool into thread for clothing].

5 She is giving

she gives to the poor.

Pro 31:20 She opens and extends her hand to the poor, And she reaches out her filled hands to the needy.

My dear mother would give whatever she had, sometimes even our clothing depending of who was knocking at the door.

6 She is confident.

Pro 31:21 She does not fear the snow for her household, For all in her household are clothed in [expensive] scarlet [wool]. [Jos_2:18-19; Heb_9:19-22]

Pro 31:22 She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is linen, pure and fine, and purple [wool]. [Isa_61:10; 1Ti_2:9; Rev_3:5; Rev_19:8, Rev_19:14]

7 She is honorable.

Pro 31:23 Her husband is known in the [city's] gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. [Pro_12:4]

Now the gates were an important place of a city, for the gates were the place of judgment. When persons had any kind of business to transact, legal business and all, they would always come into the gates of the city, and the men who sat in the gates of the city were the renowned men of the city and they would come to them for judgments. Her husband is known in the gates. He sits among the elders of the land.

This is not a woman that doesn’t do nothing or seats at home.

Her husband is known in the gates.

He is known because of his wife.

Respected because of his wife.

8 Uses her talents.

Pro 31:24 She makes [fine] linen garments and sells them; And supplies sashes to the merchants.

9 A woman of Honor

Pro 31:25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared].

10 She is wise.

Pro 31:26 She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].

11 She is a leader

Pro 31:27 She looks well to how things go in her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. [1Ti_5:14; Tit_2:5]

governs the welfare of her house hold.

She looks to the needs of her house hold.

12 Devoted to her family

Pro 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired); Her husband also, and he praises her, saying,

Pro 31:29 "Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], But you excel them all."

13 She Fears the Lord

Pro 31:30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.

Beauty is like a vapor

A woman who fears the Lord is to be praise, she puts God first in her life, she is not the center of attention, God comes first.

Pro 31:31 Give her of the product of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]. [Php_4:8]

31 give her what she deserves.

Women are important in God’s economy.

God values a woman whose heart is His. One he can trust.

Luk 1:28 And coming to her, the angel said, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."

Thank you, mothers, for displaying these 13 Characteristics for us

1 Trustworthy

2 Care for others

3 Industrious

4 Diligent

5 Giving

6 Confident

7 Honorable

8 Uses her Talents.

9 Woman of Honor

10 Wise

11 Leader

12 Devoted to her family

13 Fears the Lord

Interesting that beauty, dressing sexy, and cooking great meals, didn’t make this list.

To have the right view of a woman of the kingdom of God we need to make Jesus the Lord of our lives.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Joh 3:16

To receive Jesus, we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, and ask Him to be your Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.

Heavenly Father I’m sinner,

I’m sorry for my sins,

I’m willing to turn away from my sins.

I receive Christ as my savior,

I confess him as Lord

from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,

in the fellowship of his church,
