God sovreignly provides

His plan will not fail

He places Moses into the hands of Pharoah’s daughter

Pharoah’s daughter values human life above societal definitions (righteous rebel)

Invest in Destiny

v 10

Moses’ mother gets to raise him to a certain point

She must release him once again to his destiny and the destiny of her people:

Moses will struggle with failure and hardship

Moses will grow through fearsome trials

Moses will become one of the most revered figures of ancient history (courage, leadership, obedience, calling)

Pray for and encourage mothers

Become spiritual mothers: adoptive, vocational, participational

Affirm the value of motherhood
